The class champions of V4, Glasse and Palusko, contested an almost flawless season in the BMW 325i and were rewarded with the V4 title.

With a great history and a perfect location near the beach and Amsterdam, Zandvoort is now one of the bucket list F1 tracks, since its recent renovation. The updated corners are perfect for both track day and racing drivers. It’s still as challenging as it was, but with a more premium finishing touch. Everyone will enjoy each lap they go out. Zandvoort offers the excitement from great tracks as Spa-Francorchamps and the Nordschleife in a 4.3 km long stretch of amazing bends.

There is a mixture of full days, weekends, and many many evenings where the legendary "Green Hell' is open to the public driving almost anything road-legal! The fun begins on Saturday March 7th.

- [Winter at the Nürburgring](https://jacos-paddock.com/nurburgringwinter/): At any time the weather on the Nordschleife can surprise you. All four seasons can happen on different parts of the circuit at the same time! Winter at the Nurburgring can be very pretty when it's covered in snow, but also wet and miserable. The track is therefore closed for public "touristenfahrten" days as it can be far too dangerous. There is little or no run-off areas when you slide, and the armco is unforgiving! There are sometimes fun special events at this time of year, so keep an eye open if you happen to be in the area.

- [Nurburgring Public Evenings](https://jacos-paddock.com/nurburgring-evening-sessions/): The Nurburgring Nordschleife is open to the public most evenings from March to October for "touristenfahrten" allowing you to experience the 'Ring and put in some time to improve your lap performance. The weekend public days are hugely popular with people travelling from all over the world, but can be really busy and fraught with closures. The evening sessions that occur almost daily from the 31st March tend to be a lot quieter with less traffic on the circuit.

- [Nurburgring Grand Prix](https://jacos-paddock.com/nurburgring-grand-prix/): In the 1980s the Nordschleife was classified as unsafe for Formula 1 – the most famous example is probably Niki Lauda’s accident in 1976. For this reason the series was held at Hockenheim alone from 1997 onwards. To attract Formula 1 back to the Eifel, the then 4.5 kilometre Grand Prix Track was built between 1981 and 1984, and was extended in 2001 by the "Mercedes Arena" section to its present length of 5.148 kilometres.
